How is Safari looks like

You allowed to enter to the park only on safari jeep with an approved guide. You will on an upper deck for a maximum 6 persons, your driver and guide will in cabin. From the deck everyone has a chance of seeing everything as they made their way around the park.
During the trip you will not allowed to leave the jeep, so have enough water and sun protective cream. You’ll be going around all sorts of muddy and bumpy terrain so make sure you keep all your belongings secured and hold on tight!

Jeeps also had weatherproofing, so if it will rain, they have covers that can be brought down for you. It is better to have a safari at sunny weather, but in case of rain you still be in a comfort, and possible you see more animals just after rain end.

Udawalawe or Yala?

You are not alone if you are split between Udawalawe and Yala national parks. The only correct answer is to choose both. But if you haven’t enough time, ask yourself what you want more: leopard or elephants? If you dream of seeing a graceful leopard, then you better try to find it in Yala, where is more than 25 grace cats are. If you dream of wise elephants, your path lies in Udawalawa – this is the best place where you can see many elephants in their home. Another reason is that there are fewer jeeps in Udawalawa and with a professional guide you won’t be near other vehicles.
